River Village

 


OVERVIEW:

At the bank of a river is where several shipwrecks have landed. Here, the locals have gone through several of the washed-up ships and created slides, as well as aqua-coasters.


On a hill marked with a sunken ship is where two sets of slides are, one is enclosed and the other is open. The other attractions in this area include two aqua-coasters, both with their own theme. However, both of them have a random show sequence, meaning that every time you ride, you’re going to have a different experience.


Also here is a skyride, which takes guests up to the Mountain Village, but we’ll go up there later.





ATTRACTIONS:

10 - Meeting Point

B-Ticket

Any Height

Throughout the day, Mickey and his friends meet here. Guests will come and find them inside this wrecked shrimp boat, waiting to greet guests.


11 - Sky Ride

B-Ticket

Must be 38 in.

Guests can hop on this weathered-down lift and have it take them to the top of the Mountain of Kukulcan.


12 - Mickey’s Shipwreck Trek

E-Ticket

Must be 48 in.

In this aqua-coaster, guests join Mickey as he goes treasure hunting. As they go through the track, one of three sequences will play:

  • Mickey encounters pirates.

  • Mickey sails through a storm.

  • Mickey loses his hat and chases after a bird to get it back.


13 - Minnie’s Scuba Drive

E-Ticket

Must be 48 in.

In another aqua-coaster, guests join Minnie as she goes scuba diving, looking for treasure. As they go through the track, one of three sequences will play:

  • Minnie follows mermaids.

  • Minnie flees from a shark.

  • Minnie rides a dolphin.


14 - Pipeline Peril

D-Ticket

Must be 48 in.

Guests slide down enclosed tube slides going down to a pool.


15 - Airy Antics

D-Ticket

Must be 48 in.

Guests go down open tube slides as they head down to a pool.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.
