Mountain Village

 

OVERVIEW:

Only the brave can take on what lies at the top of the Mountain of Kukulcan. Here, the most extreme rides of the park are found. To go on them and live to tell the tale would be legendary…


This village has four attractions: two tube rides and two water slides. This involves two two-person tubes on a slide, a wedgie slide, a tube ride through enclosed spaces, and a tube ride down to the River Village, which ends by going through a hut where anyone who stayed dry will be rained on.


In short, this area may be the most thrilling of all the places, but it still has family-friendly thrills.




ATTRACTIONS:

16 - Snake Tubes

E-Ticket

Any Height

In one of three enclosed spaces, guests will ride rubes down and end up in the Jungle Village.


17 - Twists of Fate

D-Ticket

Any Height

Guests board small tubes and go down this water slide to the Jungle Village. They can choose one of three slides to go on, thus making it worth going more than once.


18 - Kukulcan’s Trial

E-Ticket

Must be 48 in.

In this towering freefall body slides, guests will go into the mouth of a snake statue and down into the Jungle Village. Before they do, however, they’ll receive a great view of the whole island.


19 - River of the Gods

E-Ticket

Any Height

Guests get on a large tube and move down a fast-paced water slide. This goes all around like a serpent’s body before winding up in a jungle river. Then, they pass underneath a hut where everyone will get rained on.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.

They may also hear a jazz band play from time to time, depending on when they come.
