Mermaid Lagoon: Introduction

 

OVERVIEW:

In a Mediterranean area, guests will find an area for the family. Here, guests have the pleasure of exploring not one but two kingdoms, one on land and one in the sea.


On land, guests can be a part of the world of The Little Mermaid. In prince Eric’s kingdom, guests will find a Mediterranean village where they can feel like they can take in the life of sailors. They will hear sea shanties, eat some seafood, and maybe hear a tale or two about mermaids nearby……


…..because mermaids are nearby. Guests can go to King Triton’s kingdom too, where there are several family attractions. While its rides are more aimed towards small children, people of all ages can enjoy them.


To summarize it all, this area is a family area where guests can be part of Ariel’s world. It’s one of many lands they will see here in the Nautical Kingdom.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.

Frontierland: Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment

They may also hear a jazz band play from time to time, depending on when they come. Here, they can have beignets, gumbo, as well as some American cuisine. Don’t forget to order the mouth-watering Mardi Gras cake for dessert!
