Main Street U.S.A.: Introduction

 


OVERVIEW:

When coming off the bus or the monorail, guests find themselves walking through the gates. Here, guests see an old train station on a hill, but aside from that, they don’t know if there is a park or not behind it. Then, when they pass through one of two tunnels, both advertising park attractions, they find themselves in a charming 1900s town in Midwestern America, inspired by Walt Disney’s childhood town of Marceline, Missouri.


Here is where it all begins. Whether they go down to the hub to see the castle or go to one of the side tunnels leading into Harbor Square or Possibilityland, guests access all of the other lands through here. Aside from this, several shops and restaurants are found on the street.


In the hub of the park, a statue of Walt and Mickey stands in front of a small pond, where nighttime entertainment plays. Behind that is the towering icon of the park, the Enchanted Fairy Tale Castle. With references to every Disney Princess on it, this castle is the beacon pulling guests to the hub. But there’s more…….in the hub, guests see other things that lure them into other lands, which will be gone over later.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.

Frontierland: Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment

They may also hear a jazz band play from time to time, depending on when they come.
