Jungle Village

 


OVERVIEW:

Part educational attraction, part water area. This is where guests go into the jungle and enter a Mayan village. It is marked by a Mayan pyramid with a waterfall running down it. There is also a pool in a ball court.


In the Mayan village, Mayan people can inform the guests about the culture of them and their ancestors. They can even explore some cultural areas around here too, showing how the Maya people live.


But this area still has its fair share of water rides. Included here are two water attractions, both thrilling in their own way. This involves two themed tube rides that guests can take. They have an interesting storyline behind them to further add to the experience.

6 - Mayan Village

In this educational attraction, guests can learn about the Mayan people by viewing their items, exhibits, and a village that shows how they lived (and still live.)


7 - El Castillo Pool

C-Ticket

Any Height

For those who don’t want to swim in a wavy pool, here is where they can swim around a Mayan ball court. In the meantime, they can see water run down the steps of a Mayan pyramid, resembling El Castillo AKA the Temple of Kukulcan in Chichen Itza.


8 - Spirit Falls

E-Ticket

Any Height

Guests are members of the S.E.A. boarding a raft to explore a mountainous region of the jungle. However, when they get to the top, they come across the guardian spirit of the jungle and move downhill to escape. This features several effects to make it look like the spirit is after guests, including dark places where lights appear.


9 - Runaway Rapids

E-Ticket

Any Height

S.E.A. explorer Dr. Alfred Runaway has invited you to come up to his research base, where he is studying Mayan artifacts. However, when guests get to the top, a fallen tree blocks their way, sending them on an unexpected route downhill. However, they still get to see Dr. Runaway, as he has come down to a shed to see the guests, worrying about their safety after realizing the tree problem.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.
