Harbor Square: Introduction

 


OVERVIEW:

This is the port of San Francisco at the turn of the Twentieth Century, at the city’s height prior to the 1906 Earthquake and Fire. Here is where the east meets the west in Chinatown. Fishers and sailors meet in the wharf. In addition, the main city allows guests to take in the charm of the bay area.


This city is home to many sights. Although there is no Alcatraz nor Lombard Street, what with those not existing at the time, this has other remarkable sights. This includes a giant Chinese gate, which marks the entrance to a Chinese garden with zodiac signs, an elegant department store, and a mysterious manor house sitting at the edge of the water, rumored to be haunted.


Many experiences are found in this area, even though it is a smaller area compared to the rest of the park. This includes a mystery surrounding ancient Chinese relics, a tour of a ghostly estate, and a tale of people coming to America, fighting to secure their place in their new home. It is a land both interesting and unique that is exclusive to this park.

Marine Life Institute: Introduction

OVERVIEW: On the American west coast is the newest facility of the Marine Life Institute. Here, guests are invited to come and take part in the Institute’s newest projects, where guests will help them discover more about the marine life of the world. Here, they are presented with three separate programs. In their SeaRider program, guests will shrink down to the size of a fish and explore the ocean. In their Marine World program, guests will learn more about the life inhabiting the world’s oceans. Finally, in their Turtle Talk program, guests will interview a voluntary sea turtle and learn about his world, while he learns about their world too. This may be a smaller area compared to the rest of the park, but it is still worth seeing. Here, guests can even spot some sea lions down by the bay. (Possibly Fluke and Rudder from Finding Dory. ) Other notable sights include a lighthouse, some seagulls who say “MINE!”, and a boat, which is parked near a pier sticking out of the base.

They may also hear a jazz band play from time to time, depending on when they come.
