Discovery Bay: Introduction
OVERVIEW:
Throughout the years, many great visionaries had ideas for the future. Such visionaries included Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Leonardo Da Vinci. They had thought about how the future would be like. However, not many of their ideas came to pass, and we got a very different future than the one they predicted.
However, this is a place where the exact opposite happened. Their ideas were fully realized and live on here. From Jules Verne’s adventures to Da Vinci’s scientific machines, this is where old ideas of long ago are presented in a new light.
This area is done in Victorian style, with several steampunx references. This is supposed to make guests feel like they’ve been transported back to a different time period, when people envisioned a quite different world than the one we have today. The machinery is complex for its time, yet less advanced than the technology of our day.
So now, guests can see what might’ve been if the visions of intelligent people had been brought to life. Welcome to Discovery Bay, the land of yesterday’s tomorrow.
